Plymouth Arts Centre run a series of outdoor cinema events every year at significant locations around the city including Tinside Lido, Royal William Yard and Mount Edgcumbe. These sell out events feature films from all genres, including modern cinema releases through to specialist arts pieces and in a variety of video and audio formats. All the cinema nights are designed to be fully accessible and able to be enjoyed by all people. Nub Sound have been working with the Arts Centre to deliver these events in a professional manner; providing full production support for the shows including video, sound, lighting, power and drapes for their events.

Providing independent advice and guidance to the Arts Centre, Nub have supplied systems to suit the varied spaces that these events are held in which produce high quality results reliably and repeatedly. These full production designs including L-Acoustics Audio equipment, Sanyo and Christie Projectors and a range of festoon, generators, emergency lighting and fuel management ensures that the outdoor cinema experience is seamless and enjoyable for all that attend. Additionally, leveraging Nub’s experience in the installation sector, we provided an IEC60118-4 compliant induction loop system ensuring that the audio visual experience is available to an even wider range of audiences.
