Frequently Asked Questions

Stuck on an AV conundrum? Our FAQs may be just the answer.

We’ve answered some of our most commonly asked questions for you below. We tailor our support to the needs if every project. So if you don’t quite see the answer you need here, get in touch and we can provide specialist advice for your situation.

Do you have an environmental policy?

We take our environmental commitments very seriously. As part of our environmental policy, we work hard to ensure our activities don’t negatively impact the planet and are always looking for ways to improve our performance.

Protecting the environment is a key consideration in every project we undertake. Our environmental policy helps us to do this. Our full environmental policy is part of our client documentation pack which is provided as part of our robust management processes.

Can you service my current equipment?

Whether you’ve got a piece of faulty equipment or just want to ensure your hardware is in top condition, we can maintain your equipment for you.

We offer a fixed fee initial inspection for all equipment we support and in many cases can repair basic faults within this first hour. Some repairs take a little longer and we provide estimates for these larger repairs before we begin works.

See our AV System Service, Repair and Maintenance Page for more information.

What’s the best way to ensure my quote is accurate?

No matter where you are in your project’s lifecycle, we want to help you get the best results.

We often get asked to provide a rough price or a ballpark estimate for a new project. This is something we never like doing as there are hundreds of variables on every job which affect the final price you pay and the timescale for the works.

The best way for us to provide an accurate initial estimate is for us to know the big picture. If you have photos or plans of the space in question, we’d love to see them. If you’ve seen what you’re trying to achieve elsewhere, let us know.

Most importantly, if you have specific timescales or budgets you need us to meet. Let us know up-front. These crucial details help us scale our proposal to match your expectations without.

In general, there is no such thing as too much information when it comes to us working with you. If in doubt, you can always pick up the phone and call us any time to discuss your specific requirements.

Do you have a health and safety policy?

We’re committed to achieving a high standard of Health and Safety throughout the company, whilst on site and for your projects. We proactively manage our health & safety risks through a stringent policy on risk assessment and method statement creation, review and documentation.

Protecting our staff, sub-contractors and members of the public is our top priority. Our health and safety policy helps us to do this. Our full health and safety policy is part of our client documentation pack which is provided as part of our robust management processes.

How can I make my projector brighter?

When you have a problem with a dim projector, it may seem that there is no solution apart from replacing with a new, brighter unit. We offer projector servicing and maintenance which can increase projector brightness.

Check out our blog post on solving issues with dim projectors.

We’re here to help you improve things. We come to your site, assess each projector in turn and make recommendations on how best to proceed using our in-depth experience of AV systems. From there, it’s as simple as choosing when you want us to come back and make things better.

Do you charge for site surveys?

Ensuring we have enough knowledge about your site is a critical part of our pre-project process. In most circumstances, there is no charge for general site surveys. Sometimes, where there are specific access requirements or specialist considerations requiring a more detailed analysis of the space, there may be a nominal fee for a survey.

If a lot of cases though, an initial survey may not be needed if you can provide detailed plans, images and information about the space. In this scenario, we will still perform a site visit prior to finalising any quotation.

Are you able to train us on our new or existing AV systems?

No matter the age of your system, be it brand new or part of the original building fabric, ensuring that you know how to get the best from your equipment is important.

We automatically provide comprehensive training with every installation we provide to be sure you maximise your investment but sometimes you need to be re-trained on your existing install. We do this too by assessing your existing equipment and developing a training program to suit.

Do you undertake work out-of-hours?

We’re no stranger to irregular working hours. Naturally, we work on events and hire activities outside of normal business hours but we also provide out of hours options for installations and maintenance to suit the scheduling of your space.

Availability of the space and scheduling form part of our initial conversation about any project and we incorporate the specific requirements of your facilities into our delivery plan, all whilst ensuring staff are safe, well rested and looked after.
