Established as a firm favourite on the Cornish events calendar and a credible national polo event, Polo on the Beach brings the glamorous and traditional sport to one of the county’s most innovative beach destinations. Uniquely, it is a free-to-attend event, and its aim is to introduce polo to an audience who might not otherwise see the sport played. Now in its tenth year, the award-winning event has consistently captured the imagination of people nationwide, generating national and international media coverage and attracting record crowds in June 2015 of 10,000. Nub have worked with Polo on the Beach since it’s inauguration to provide a full range high quality large area public address system for the main arena and new in 2015 full technical production for the Music Arena.

Tasked with providing top quality technical production to a discerning clientele, Nub designed a production ethos that reflected this expectation. Choosing a sound system for the main stage that provided a truly HiFi quality sound, Nub deployed their bespoke large format Opus PA system which, coupled with L-Acoustics SB218 for low frequency extension, provided top quality sound for both bands and DJs alike. Lighting from Robe and Clay Paky completes the production which was staged on Nub’s 40ft x 24ft Outdoor Stage. A fully weatherproof outdoor large area public address system was deployed to cover the 180m x 90m main arena for both announcements/commentary and music playback.
