Project Description
The Covid-19 pandemic forced many organisations to re-think their traditional approach to in-person gatherings, discussions and meetings. HM Coroner adopted an online-first approach to holding inquests and meetings. As in-person inquests were resumed. The Coroners’ Service required the ability to host hybrid inquests and meetings permanently. Working with the Coroners’ service, Nub provided a complete AV solution based around Microsoft Teams Room hardware and the robust Crestron AV Control platform.
The Brief
Moving into their new permanent location at Pydar House in Truro, the Coroners’ service required suitable equipment within their court and conference rooms to enable seamless unified communications and hybrid meetings whilst also supporting in-person use. The large court room also needed to support voice-lift for in-room conversation.
These systems were required to operate with minimal user intervention allowing the Coroner and their staff to concentrate on delivering their statutory services and not worry about the AV.
The Solution
Nub designed a modern, IP connected, AV control and distribution system based around Microsoft Teams Room hardware, Crestron NVX video distribution and the QSys DSP platform. The entire system is managed centrally through Crestron’s XIO Cloud Platform.
Martin Audio ceiling speakers within each space provide audio-reinforcement. These were complimented by Sennheiser’s Team Connect Ceiling 2 Array, MEG14-40 Gooseneck and Wireless Speechline microphones to discretely and clearly capture every word.
Initial device configuration, rack building and programming was completed off-site, ready to install into the busy spaces.
Once competed, Nub provided comprehensive training to staff within the building and continue to provide remote and on-site support and servicing as part of our maintenance services.
